National Geographic has the whitewater rafting trip to Pacuare listed as one of the top 5 commerically rafted rivers on the planet. In our opinion this is a must do for a Costa Rica Family Adventure Package or student travel. The Sherwood crew can now add it to the list of adventures they have done this week. They did a great job on a beautiful sunny day. It was a three hour run on an 18 mile stretch filled with canyons and waterfalls surrounded by virgin rainforest from start to finish. Right now we are in the bus 
heading to the Arenal Volcano and we called ahead and they said it is clear. With some luck it will stay clear and I will be sending pictures of lava tonight. The bus is really bumpy and Jheudy is looking for a sloth in the trees to show the kids so enjoy the pics and I will post in the evening.

Hey Tom! This is Ellie's Mom. Thanks so much for taking such great care of her. I really enjoyed talking to her yesterday. Bummed that she wasn't able to go on the rafting trip as it looked like such fun. I went on several rafting trips when I was her age and I still remember how great a time it was after all these years. Also, just wanted to say how much we appreciate the updates to his blog. We feel that we are able to stay connected to Ellie even when she isn't so good about calling. Thanks again!
